HOPE Zone
“Leaders should be collaborative, modest, and generous.”
Bill Bradley
To meet the needs of this specific community, we assigned a HOPE Zone Project Manager and Community Outreach Worker, who have worked closely with the Southbridge Civic Association and community members to determine the best utilization of services. The HOPE Commission team has established valuable relationships with community members, business owners, families and youth in a collaborative effort to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood.
The HOPE Commission also developed partnerships with Division of Health & Social Services to support needed services. We secured a state-sponsored family-crisis therapist, who provides one-on-one parent conferences, individual, small group, and family counseling sessions. We also added a juvenile probation officer dedicated to working with juveniles in that community.
