HOPE Outreach Workers

“I've seen and met angels wearing the disguise of ordinary people living ordinary lives.”
Tracy Chapman

The HOPE Commission believes in Wilmington…in every citizen in every neighborhood. That’s why we asked residents to volunteer to serve as HOPE Outreach Workers. And many have stepped up to get trained and serve.

HOPE Outreach Workers are our neighbors and friends in Wilmington, and they have something very important in common: they all are committed to and passionate about making Wilmington a safer, better place to live.

You’ll find HOPE Outreach Workers distributing materials and making referrals to a number of resources, from GED programs and employment services to family, housing, medical and dental services. They’re building relationships among businesses, educators, the faith community, law enforcement, and health and social services, creating a collaboration of service providers that makes it easier for residents to access the assistance they may need.
